About Michael Einheuser

Michael Einheuser

Hello!

My name is Michael Einheuser.  I am an attorney who specializes in Estate Planning.  My practice is located in Bloomfield, Michigan, north of Detroit.

I’ve been practicing law for 33 years.  I’ve been privileged to be involved in writing over 3,000 estate plans.  For me estate planning isn’t a “product.”  It’s a “process.”  I help my clients identify their hopes for the future as well as their fears.  Then we customize an estate plan uniquely suited for them.  The result isn’t just a collection of legal documents.  It’s Peace of Mind.

I’ve always regarded the practice of law as one of the “helping” professions.  I believe that attorneys should conduct themselves like doctors or ministers, serving as a trusted professional that people can turn to for help with their most important and sometimes most private concerns.

Education

I grew up on the east side of the City of Detroit, the 2nd in a family of six children.  My father was a fire fighter and my mother was a homemaker.  I attended Sacred Heart Seminary High School.

I received a Bachelor of Philosophy (Ph.B.) degree from Monteith College at Wayne State University.  I earned my law degree (Juris Doctorate) from the evening division of the Detroit College of Law, which is now the Michigan State University College of Law.

Community Service

Public and community service has always been important to me.  I served for three years as an Executive Assistant to former Mayor of the City of Detroit, Coleman Young.

I was a member of the Wayne County Charter commission which wrote the Charter for county government. I’ve also served on the Board of Governors at Wayne State University and the Board of Trustees at Sacred Heart Major Seminary.

I am currently serving as Member At Large of the newly-formed Detroit Public Lighting Authority.

For the past 15 years I’ve been teaching Business Ethics in the Masters of Business Administration program at Wayne State University’s School of Business Administration.

Personal

I have one grown son who is a professional musician. I enjoy outdoor activities and engage in film making as a hobby.
